Taruta Serhiy Zubkov

Biography

Sergei Taruta was born on 23 July 1955 in the village of Grape (renamed Zhdanov), Donetsk region.

Education

Higher education. Graduated from mechanical-metallurgical faculty of the Zhdanov metallurgical Institute (engineer-mechanic) in 1979.
In 1999 the faculty of management Donetsk state Academy of management (Manager of foreign economic activity).

Labor activity

1979 – worked on the Zhdanov (now Mariupol) the plant “Azovstal”, including the head of Department of foreign economic relations.
1995 – co-founder of a foreign trade company “Azovinteks”.
December 1995 – Executive Director of the newly created Corporation “Industrial Union of Donbass” (ISD). Now – Chairman of the Board of Directors of ISD, the President of football club “metallurg” (Donetsk).

Political activity

Since 1998 – Deputy of Donetsk regional Council, member of the standing Commission on the issues of land and natural resources.
In 2004 – 2005 – member of the Council of entrepreneurs under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. Co-chair of the Indian-Ukrainian trade-industrial group.
March 2, 2014 by the decree of the acting President of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov, Serhiy Taruta was appointed head of the regional state administration, Donetsk region, succeeding Andrey Shishatskiy. One of his first tasks as head announced the cancellation of decisions adopted by the regional Council.
June 13 this year, after the return of Mariupol under control of Ukrainian troops on behalf of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko moved temporarily administrative center of Donetsk region..

September 29 was registered by the CEC of Ukraine, the candidate in people’s deputies of the Verkhovna Rada at the extraordinary elections to the Verkhovna Rada as the independent candidate in district № 58, Donetsk region.
October 10, 2014, was removed from the post of Chairman of Donetsk regional state administration.

The billionaire is married. He has two daughters.
One of them – Catherine – works for a leading news channel ICTV, previously led the program on channel M1.

Hobby

The murder of Shcherban
