In 2006 – 2014 – correspondent and the author of journalistic investigations the Internet-editions “the Ukrainian truth”, in 2013 – one of initiators of creation the Internet-TV channel “Gromadske telebachennya”. In November 2013, one of the first called on Ukrainians to come to independence square that was the start of the Euromaidan.
In 2005-2007 he worked as a correspondent of the Ukrainian newspaper “Kommersant”. From 2007 to 2011 was editor, special correspondent of “Freedom of Savik Shuster” and “Shuster live”, and the lead author of the programs “Black and white” and After live.
From 2011 to 2013, he presented the daily program “Today. On the main” channel “TVI”.
Mustafa Nayem was born in Kabul (Afghanistan) June 28, 1981. The mother died when Mustafa was barely three years. His father was a Deputy Minister of education. In 1989, Mustafa together with his father went to Moscow and soon after, in 1990, moved to Kiev.
In 1998, Mustafa Nayem graduated from the technical Lyceum in the Shevchenko district of Kiev, and in 2004 – Kiev Polytechnic University (faculty of aircraft and space systems).
After graduating from the Kiev Polytechnic Institute, Mustafa did not work in the specialty, and, passionate about music, and for a time played on percussion instruments (drums) in a band that played in Kiev’s cafe, then at the theatre “Black square”.
In September 2004 he began his journalistic career, became a correspondent of the political Department in the information Agency “Context-Media”. From July 2005 to June 2007 – reporter of the newspaper “Kommersant Ukraine”. In January 2006, is a reporter and the author of journalistic investigations the Internet-editions “Ukrainian truth”.
Mustafa and Savik Shuster
In July 2007 Mustafa invited for the post of editor of the special correspondent of the program “Freedom of Savik Shuster”, which was published first on the channel “inter”, since 2008 – on the channel “Ukraine” under the new name “Schuster live”, and since 2011 — on the First national.
From November 2009 to December 2010 and was the lead author of the program “Black and white” production-production “Savik Shuster Studio” on the channel “TVI”. In December 2010 announced the termination of all contracts with the production company “Savik Shuster Studio”, including the Agency agreement and the agreement on “Shuster live,” noting that it happened by mutual consent, without conflict and with the prospect for future cooperation.
In January 2011 continued its cooperation with the company “Savik Shuster Studio” on a fee basis and was the lead author of the new program After live at the “First national” – a behind the scenes political talk show “Shuster live”. TVi and “Gromadska telebachennya”
In September 2011, Mustafa was leading the daily program “Today. On the main” channel “TVI”, which was interviewed on the topic of the day. In February 2012, he initiated the Internet-a marathon “Viktor Yanukovych. Two years probation,” in which journalists of leading Ukrainian mass media, summed up two years of Viktor Yanukovych as President of Ukraine.
In April 2013, Mustafa resigned from TVI, along with most of the journalists of TV channel because of a conflict with the new management. Became one of initiators of creation the Internet-TV channel “Gromadska telebachennya”, which aired November 22 2013.
Mustafa was one of the first on 21 November urged Ukrainians to come to independence square that was the start of the Euromaidan. In September 2014, the Forum of publishers in Lviv was presented the book Nayem “On both sides of the barbed wire” based on the stories of Yuri Lutsenko about his imprisonment.
During the passage of the scholarship program at Stanford under the influence of Francis Fukuyama made the decision to go into politics. Together with Sergey Leshchenko, Svetlana Zalishchuk was nominated for the parliamentary elections on the list “Blok Petro Poroshenko”. During the election campaign I had them for a few weeks on the constituency No. 102 in Kirovohrad, campaigning against Oles Dovgy. After the elections, the BPP took the second place, and three of them passed in the Parliament. Nayem was elected Deputy head of the faction.
2 Dec Nye became the only Deputy who voted against the approval of the government Yatsenyuk. In February 2015 entered into inter-factional parliamentary group “Euro-optimists”. At the same time together with Sergey Leshchenko he became a part-time faculty in the Department of communication and Department of journalism of the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv.
From mid-July 2015 – curator of creating the patrol police in Transcarpathia from the Board of the interior Ministry.
2015-2016 year – participated in the events “Motion for clarification” the head of the Odessa regional administration of Mikheil Saakashvili. In the summer of 2016 based on it there were two political groups which later co-ordinated around the party “Democratic Alliance” and the former Deputy Prosecutor General David Sakvarelidze and Vitaliy KASKO.
In July Mustafa Nayem joined the party “Democratic Alliance” together with Svetlana Zalishchuk, Serhiy Leshchenko and independent member of Victoria Ptashnik, was elected to the political Council. Has announced the addition from itself powers of the Deputy head of the faction “Block of Petro Poroshenko”, deciding to stay in the PPB to save the mandate. In November 2016 excluded from the members of the Ukrainian delegation to the NATO parliamentary Assembly and the OSCE.
13 Dec 2010 Moustapha Nayem was detained by the staff of division “Golden eagle”, explaining that he was “a person of Caucasian nationality”. The same day he was released from the Podolsky district police Department. On 14 December he wrote an article “Xenophobia must not become the face of Ukrainian nationality,” describing the events and the requirement to dismiss an employee who detained him and refused to apologize.
16 Dec completed an internal investigation, which established that the police officer in dealing with a journalist afforded incorrect statements to his address, for which he was reprimanded.
July 30, 2012, according to Nayem, he was beaten by guards of one of delegates of Congress of regions after the escort car that delegate cut the motorcycle Nayem. Police refused Nayema in a criminal case, stating that his testimony was not confirmed.
MP Mustafa Nayem published e-income statement for 2015 on the website of the Unified state register of declarations. Thus in the column about the family members he pointed out only 8-year-old son Mark-Micah. Last year, Nye has received 72 853 UAH salary. 39 663 UAH amounted to income from employment of independent professional activities at the Catholic University, he earned 21 170 UAH in the company of NAVS. 1 197 UAH he received as royalties and 53 315 UAH joined his wallet from the Pinchuk Foundation. In General, the annual income of the MP was 188 198 UAH.
MP also contributed to the Declaration of cash: $6 thousand and 10 thousand euros.
According to the report, in the possession Nayem is 20% of the apartments in Kiev. The total area of 63,35 sq. m. the Remaining shares in equal parts own brother Nayem – Masi (20 %), sister Miriam (20%) are also entitled to one-fifth of the space reserved for Dmitry and Valentina Ring. Earlier, the blogger Andrey Dzindzya claimed that the Ring is brother Nayem.
Transport and securities of the MP is not indicated in the Declaration. But it has registered rights to the TM, Mustafa Nayem, including Latin letters.
