In October 2006, former Prime Minister of the Crimea, deputies from Our Ukraine, the representative of the Institute of open policy Anatoly Matvienko has accused a construction Scam in Kyiv.
Investors of construction of residential house at a press conference said that the structures controlled by Matvienko, block completion of construction of the house on the street Irpen in Kiev.
The Institute of public policy headed by members of a particular political party, and in their free time they are engaged in a deception of investors, said investor Anatoly millstone. According to him, the construction of a residential house was completed a year ago, but after housing prices in the capital grew, with investors required to pay in the amount of 9.6 million UAH.
Enough money, but the surety does not want to part with profit, 75% of which should accrue to the Institute Matvienko, – said the representative of the construction company “ecobud” Tatiana Serbina. Investors also voiced other grievances kA. Matvienko: according to them, except that they require a fee to build a house, the former Prime Minister also wrote to their relatives 5 apartments in the next building.
Taking the post of Prime Minister of Crimea in may 2005, judging by the numerous public statements A. Matvienko, he planned to bring Polish millionaire Jan Kulczyk to the construction of the highway Simferopol – Yalta through Yalta and ay-Petri plateau, and oil companies from the United States to develop black sea oil shelf.
A protege of Yushchenko (the Crimean media dubbed him a “Gauleiter”) led the government authority in less than five months, but managed to attract a Polish company to work on the land cadastre of the Peninsula and put the question on the transfer of 6.5 thousand hectares of land in the coastal Saki and Simferopol district of the fictitious company “Golf city”, supposedly to create a huge range of Golf courses, hotels, water parks and other recreational facilities. As it turned out, “Golf city” were the leaders of the “orange” party “Pora”.
For businessmen from Russia and Eastern Ukraine, this day was not easy. The Prosecutor’s office of Ukraine challenged in the courts the legality of the purchase of the Yalta pension “Wisteria” – the former summer residence of Leonid Brezhnev, who became the property of the Russian “Vneshtorgbank” and sanatorium “Mellas”, which belonged to the government of Moscow. There was talk about the need to return to court recreational complex “the Sea” acquired by the state Duma Deputy Alexander Lebedev.
Meanwhile, the economic court of Crimea has considered the claim of the Republican division of the Prosecutor’s office about the illegality of the privatization of the estate “Kuchuk-Koy” at Yalta the joint-stock company “System capital management”, controlled by the richest man of Ukraine, leader of the party at that time, Rinat Akhmetov.
Anything from anyone not selected, but the nerves spoiled pretty. The result of Donetsk and Russian businessmen (even those who did not become the target of lawsuits and was not wanted by the police) reduced business activity in the Crimea and focused on how to preserve their property.
On the Peninsula was not always legitimate the privatization of state property. In 2005, Yalta sanatorium of the Ministry of defense of Ukraine was declared bankrupt on 12 buildings of the resorts are sold to commercial enterprises. According to some sources, the Crimean authorities, housing became the property of the institutions under the control of Yulia Tymoshenko. “Buildings comparable in size and beauty with the Livadia Palace, went for a ridiculous price – about 60 thousand dollars” – recalled the Deputy of Yalta city Council Sergey Karnaukh. According to him, the new owners were convinced that they were the owners of all areas of the Spa Park. “It is 16 hectares in the centre of the city, – said Karnaukh. – That is, at the present value of Yalta land, the issue price was $ 40 – $ 50 million. They brought to the city Council a letter in which the resort management asked me to give the Park to new owners. But the owner of the Park city. The Yalta city Council gave the owners of the sanatorium only the territory that is under the buildings.”
In September 2005 he resigned from the post of Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the ARC and of the head of the URP “Sobor” – in protest against what his party MPs not to support the candidacy of Yuriy Yekhanurov for the post of Prime Minister of Ukraine. After leaving the party, several of the initiators failure of the vote on Yekhanurov and zealous supporters of Tymoshenko, with whom relations have A. Matvienko by the time noticeably deteriorated, the politician has restored its membership in the “Cathedral”. Later he was elected again as party leader.
After a falling out with Yulia Tymoshenko, Anatoly Matvienko is considered to be one of the most loyal and consistent supporters of ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko. After the early parliamentary elections in 2007 were made by the author of a number of comments on the draft of the coalition agreement between BYUT and nuns.
Quote of Yushchenko and Poroshenko:
“If Yushchenko was ably lazy, Poroshenko talented hardworking. He really works hard, but sometimes, in my opinion, the President needs to delegate more, trust their team members and try not to concentrate everything in their hands. And I sometimes wonder what he knows about the smallest nuances in the faction more than I do, I spend every day. I think that details like the President to spend time is a great luxury. Perhaps it is the lack of practice of delegation of authority. He wants to cover. But if entrusted the post, and give confidence to make decisions. Otherwise, it will slow down the dynamics of rapid movement. Then everyone can focus on the President, and I think that’s wrong. Perhaps this explains the errors in appointments. We, thank God, wasn’t a bad President, but he and critics have to help.”
