Biography

Alexander Abdullin was born on 29 June 1962 in Kiev.

Education

Higher education. He graduated from the Kiev University. T. G. Shevchenko, specialty “journalist” (1987). Fluent in English and French.

Employment, career

1979 – work on the Kiev “tochelektropribor” Turner.
1981 – 1983 – service in the ranks of the army.
1985 – 1987 – the correspondent of the newspaper News from Ukraine.
Career began, until 1992 Alexander A. R. took the position of reporter, then – the commercial Director “Working papers”.
From 1992 to 1993, Alexander Abdullin was a Director of the company “Intertrade”.
For two years, until 1995, was Vice-President of the Corporation “Republic”.
1995 – 1998 — President of CJSC “INTERGAZ”.
In 1998, Alexander Abdullin was elected Deputy (Borispol on constituency № 97 Kyiv oblast). Since leaving the Ukrainian Parliament.
From October 1998 to April 2002 – people’s Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 3rd convocation, a member of the Committee on construction, transport and communication (since February 1999).
1999 – A. Abdullin, I. A. Volkov Sides and co-founded the party “Democratic Union”. The member of fraction of party “Democratic Union” (April 2001).
April 2002 – may 2006 – people’s Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 4th convocation (from electoral district # 156 Rivne oblast, nominated by the bloc “Democratic party of Ukraine – party “Democratic Union”). Member of the Committee on environmental policy, nature resources utilization and elimination the consequences of Chernobyl (June 2002).
During the parliamentary activity had been in the ranks of the “United Ukraine”, “European choice”, SDPU(o).
Since 2005 – member of the party all-Ukrainian Union “Fatherland”. In 2006 and 2007 passed the lists of BYUT. The people’s Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 6th convocation (BYUT, № 49 in the list). Deputy Chairman of the fraction (since November 2007). Member of the parliamentary Committee on freedom of expression and information (December 2007).
12 December 2012 – people’s Deputy of Ukraine of VII convocation from party all-Ukrainian Union “Fatherland” (number 28 in the list). Member of the Committee on freedom of speech and information.
November 2014 – people’s Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of the VIII convocation. Passed in Parliament from party all-Ukrainian Union “Fatherland” No. 17 in the electoral list. The Chairman of the Subcommittee on advertising of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on issues of freedom of speech and information policy.

Business

As reported by some media, Abdullin is associated with the enterprises of JSC “Slavic heritage” and CJSC “Hermes invest holding”. Alexander Abdullin together with Ihor Bakay and Valery Hakobyan owns shares of JSC “Slavic heritage”, and, together with Konstantin Zhevago controls the company “Hermes-invest” holding.
And the company “Hermes” is a co-founder of Fund “Reserve” and also owns shares of JSC “Basis”, working in the construction industry.

Family

Married. Wife Tatiana (1963) – designer construction company.
In a married couple has two daughters: Eugenia (born 1988) and Alexander (born in 1991).
