Ukraine has signed a Memorandum of cooperation with the FBI: what does it mean

 

Ukraine have made cooperation with the Federal Bureau of investigation of the United States.

The Memorandum on mutual cooperation was signed by Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov and the FBI Director Christopher ray.

This was reported by press service of the interior Ministry.

“We had a meeting with the FBI Director Christopher ray and signed a Memorandum on mutual cooperation on certain issues. In particular, the fight against drug trafficking and cybercrime”, — said Avakov.

Such a framework agreement between the interior Ministry and the FBI is a radical breakthrough in matters relating to exchange of information, access to the different technical possibilities.

“And one such opportunity is the second document that we have signed today between Netpolice and the Department of the FBI. His efforts aimed at combating organized crime,” — said the Minister.

“With the FBI Director, we discussed a number of threats that come to us from Putin’s regime. And also outlined some General steps that will allow you to fight with the Russian aggression”, — said Avakov.

It is also noted that the signed documents will allow to deepen cooperation with the relevant departments of the FBI in combating drug-related crime and cybercrime, and to document serious clans that operate in Ukraine and in the world.
