Acting U.S. Secretary of state John Sullivan urged the Ukrainian authorities to redouble their efforts to implement reforms, create an independent anti-corruption court and to raise tariffs for gas.
About it the press Secretary of the US Department of state Heather Nauert wrote on Twitter, commenting on the meeting of Sullivan with Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin.
“Acting Secretary Sullivan called on Ukraine to redouble its efforts in respect of reforms and to adhere to IMF programs through legislation to create a truly independent anti-corruption court and increase in gas prices to parity against the imports,” she wrote.
According to her, Sullivan reaffirmed the United States support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression.
Nauert also said that Sullivan and Klimkin urged Russia to finally implement the Minsk agreement and cease its occupation of Crimea.
