The NBU requires banks bankrupt 25 billion

 

National Bank has filed in the courts 35 new claims for foreclosure on the property property guarantors insolvent banks for a total amount of 4 billion hryvnia.

This is stated in the press service of the NBU.

 

According to the report, in General, in 2014-2018, the Bank initiated 110 judicial proceedings for return of credit debt at the expense of the financial guarantors and mortgaged property of the guarantors.

Currently pending in courts of different instances is the 89 cases with a total claim of 25 billion UAH.

“The national Bank carries out regular and systematic work to repay the debt with funds and property of the guarantors insolvent banks. However, this process is difficult to call a fast because of the fact that guarantors, abusing their rights, are constantly trying to avoid performing their obligations and delaying the hearing of cases in courts”, – quotes the press service of the national Bank, Director of risk management Department Igor Budnik.
