The Cabinet of Ministers at a meeting on Wednesday, August 19, has allocated 730 million hryvnias of subventions from the state budget to repay the difference in tariffs in Kiev.
“With regards to the heating issue, I promised that we will help Kiev get out of this difficult situation, we worked with colleagues in the government, found opportunities to support Kiev. I think that here the differences will be. It is important to prepare for the heating season”, – said Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman.
The Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Finance and then the Ministry of regional development to issue it after acceptance for signature by the head of the government.
The provision of subventions eliminate the debt of the state for payment of compensation to Kyivenergo, which in turn will reduce the company’s debt to Naftogaz, will help to resume the flow of hot water to the residents and time to start the heating season.
Earlier, city authorities said that after the decision of the Cabinet will be able to resume hot water supply in Kiev in mid-September.
