The AMCU has fined pharmaceutical companies for high drug prices

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has fined four pharmaceutical companies as a whole more than 18 million hryvnia for artificially inflated drug prices.

About it reports a press-Department service.

In particular, the Committee determined that the terms of contracts concluded between the company Roche Ukraine and three distributors (BaDM, OOO, OOO Business Center pharmacy and JSC Alba Ukraine), led to unreasonable increase of prices for medicines that were purchased Ukrainian budget institutions of health care in 2012-2016.

In this regard, the AMC ordered the company to stop the violations within two months from the date of receipt of the decision. The fines range from 300 thousand to more than nine million.
