The Verkhovna Rada on Thursday, March 15, will consider the question on attraction of MP Yevhen Bakulin to criminal prosecution, his detention and arrest.
To the Parliament said the head of the Verkhovna Rada Andrew Parubiy.
According to him, on the eve of the procedural Committee with participation of public Prosecutor Yury Lutsenko recommended the Parliament to consider the issue of abolition of parliamentary immunity with Bakulina.
“On Thursday we will begin the meeting, consideration of this issue. I recall that one law for all and, we hope, will make the appropriate decision,” – said paruby.
As you know, March 12 regulation Committee considered the submission of the Prosecutor General on giving consent of Parliament to the criminal prosecution, detention and arrest of MP Yevhen Bakulin and later recommended to Parliament to remove Deputy immunity.
He Bakulin at a meeting of the Committee is absent. Instead he sent a lawyer and a written explanation, which noted in particular that ill.
The lawyer said he believes the General Prosecutor’s office insufficient and noted that Bakulin is “not hiding from the investigation”.
