The national Bank of Ukraine will introduce a new flip of a coin in nominal value 1, 2, 5 and 10 hryvnia.
This is stated in the press announcement of the national Bank, sent out to journalists.
“These coins will eventually replace the banknotes of the respective denominations, which are now in circulation”, – stated in the message NBU.
“Ukrainians will be able to pay at the same time and new coins and banknotes of the respective denominations, while the coins naturally and gradually replacing banknotes in circulation”, – added there.
The regulator also noted that the update of the nominal number of national currencies scheduled and began with a banknote face value of 100 UAH sample 2014, put into circulation on March 9, 2015.
