In Ukraine it is necessary to change the electoral system.
The Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said this during the hour of questions to government in Parliament, writes Interfax-Ukraine.
“Not whether we agree with the fact that the current electoral system is unacceptable?… Has become the norm in our country when people are buying votes. We have a chance to change it. We must create a transparent system where everyone can realize themselves”, – said Groisman.
However, the head of the government did not explain what kind of change he stands for.
Groisman also considers it relevant to the discussion about the political system of Ukraine and in favor of amending the Constitution in terms of decentralization.
“We need, in the end, to make a decision: are we still a parliamentary-presidential country, or presidential-parliamentary. We must determine – and this is important – the areas of responsibility and competence at all levels of government. Clearly indicate who is responsible for what. Then get a very different quality of governance”, he said.
In addition, the Prime Minister said about the need to complete the decentralization reform in the country. “We need to enact constitutional changes to enshrine the local government at all levels,” – said Groisman
