This was stated by the Deputy Minister of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine on European integration Olga Trofimova, reports the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.
As noted, the total foreign trade turnover of agricultural products reached 11.3 billion dollars, up 3.5% compared to the same period last year, and is 23% of the total foreign trade turnover of Ukraine.
“The results of the first half of 2018 Ukrainian agroeksport amounted to $ 8.6 billion. Last year, the Ukrainian agricultural exports have reached record results and reached almost 18 billion dollars. This year is also expected this result, given the situation on the world markets of such goods as grain,” – said by Trofimova.
According to her, the regional structure of Ukrainian agricultural exports has not changed: the first place is occupied by Asia with a share of 43.2%, the second place – the EU – 30,4%, and third place went to African countries – 14,6%.
We will remind, at the end of 2017, the foreign trade turnover of agricultural and food products between Ukraine and Europe grew by 30.8%, or $ 1.9 billion, and amounted to 8.1 billion dollars.
