The Shevchenkovsky regional court of Kiev prolonged for another two months the detention of the head of the Center for the release of prisoners “Officer corps” Vladimir Ruban.
Such a decision the court issued on Friday, having satisfied the petition of the prosecution, reports “Interfax-Ukraine”.
The decision can be appealed in 5 days.
The court announced only the operative part of the decision, the full text will be published on 8 may.
Protection opposed approval of the application of the Prosecutor, noting that Ruban only suspected of committing a crime and his guilt is not proven.
Sam Ruban said that he understands what the decision of the court, and is awaiting consideration on the merits to refute in court charges and to tell the truth.
Ruban was arrested March 8 on KPVV in the Donbass with weapons. He was carrying weapons from the occupied territory in the controlled part of Ukraine.
Law enforcement officers suspect Ruban in the preparation of armed attacks on senior officials of the state in preparing a terrorist act with a weapon and commit explosions, which could pose a danger to life and health of people.
Ruban also appeared in the case of the people’s Deputy of Hope Savchenko.
According to investigators, he was planning on “using mortars, grenade launchers, small arms and explosive devices to carry out an armed attack on the housing of statesmen, political leaders, in particular: Petro Poroshenko, Avakov, Yatsenyuk, Oleksandr Turchynov and others with the purpose of murder.”
March 9, Shevchenko district court of Kiev arrested Ruban a period of two months prior to 6 may. On 20 March the Kyiv court of Appeals upheld that decision in force.
