Canada will spend almost $5 million on the women’s movement in Ukraine

 

Canada will allocate for 4.75 million dollars to strengthen the women’s movement in Ukraine.

This was announced by the Minister of international development Canada Marie-Claude Bibo at a press conference on its visit to Ukraine from 18 to 23 July, RBC-Ukraine online reports.

In particular, the Minister spoke about the talks with Ukrainian officials in Kyiv and the prospects of bilateral cooperation.

According to her, Ukrainian women’s Fund was selected for the realization of initiatives of canadian organizations.

“We allocate for 4.75 million dollars to strengthen the women’s movement in Ukraine. Ukrainian women’s Fund received a grant for the project”, – said the Minister.

She also added that Canada intends to continue to support civil society in Ukraine.
