Baloch will not stop the hunger strike

 

Convicted in the annexed Crimea Ukrainian activist Volodymyr Baluch refused to stop the hunger strike.

It is reported by the correspondent of the edition “Crimea.Realities” of the Razdolnensky hall of the court where the next hearing on the case of Baluga.

According to the journalist, the activist looks painful and kept behind bars.

Baluch from March 19, starving in protest against the verdict in one of the cases filed against him.

Earlier, first Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Gerashchenko has addressed to Vladimir Balugu with a request to stop the hunger strike.

Later 22 the people’s Deputy of Ukraine signed the appeal to Balaju with a request to stop the hunger strike. In particular, was signed by Refat Chubarov, Svetlana Zalishchuk, Nayyem, Yegor Sobolev, Vladyslav Golub, Sergey Leshchenko, Oleg Musiy, Andriy Biletsky, Borislav Bereza.

A court in Russia-annexed Crimea recognized Baluja guilty to possession of ammunition and sentenced him to 3 years and 5 months of imprisonment in a penal colony and a fine of 10,000 rubles (about 4.6 thousand UAH).

Another case was opened against the activist because of the statement of the head of the detention center in the village of Razdolnoe Valery Tkachenko, who claims that Baluch beat him. Thus the activist and his defense claim that it is Tkachenko attacked him.

March 19, controlled by the occupants Razdolnensky district court chose to Balaju measure in this case in the form of detention until 19 June 2018.

In addition, the lawyer Baluja Olga Dinze said that the activist was beaten by the convoy in jail after consideration of the appeal in his case. For this reason being tested.
The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine repeatedly urged Russia to immediately release Baluja, since it in December 2016 was detained by the FSB.

The FSB claimed that he had found in the attic of the house where Mr Baloch, 90 rounds and a few TNT blocks.

Protection of Baluja and human rights activists say he was the victim of reprisals for his Pro-Ukrainian position – because of the Ukrainian flag in his front yard.
