Azarov asks to interrogate him in court over Yanukovich video

Former Prime fugitive Mykola Azarov asks to question him in the hearing of charges of treason of ex-President Viktor Yanukovych by video conference from Moscow.

This is stated in the statement Azarov on March 17, which publishes to Facebook lawyer Yanukovych Vitaly Serdyuk.

He noted that the statement was handed over to the defense Saturday during a personal meeting.

In a statement, Azarov confirmed his willingness to testify in court, noting that he was brought to trial as a defense witness at the initiative of Serdyuk.

“I ask to ensure my questioning as a witness in criminal proceedings №1 KP/756/237/18 in order for international legal assistance by video conference from Commissioner of the court of Moscow”, – said in a statement.

Azarov said that there can arrive directly at the Obolonskiy district court of Kiev in connection with his prosecution in Ukraine for political reasons, “which was hosted by senior officials of Ukraine”.

He claims that he is regularly threatened and believes that in Ukraine there is a danger to his life.

Azarov also refused to tell the court the address of their actual residence in the territory of the Russian Federation, for security reasons.
